Hannah Park Campground

June 3, 2017

Hannah Park is a 450-acre oceanfront park in Jacksonville, FL. The campground offers a little bit of everything we enjoy as a family. The grounds have a combined 20 miles of single track mountain biking and hiking trails, a 60 acre fresh water lake for fishing, canoeing or kayaking, and 1.5 miles of pristine beaches. The campground has around 275 campsites (all sites have electricity and water), so whether you have a tent, pop-up or full size RV this campground has you covered. This was actually our second time here but our first trip was cut short due to all of us getting extremely sick. This trip was also different in that we have upgraded from a pop-up camper to a Keystone Passport Travel Lite.

First Impressions:

  • Beautiful location with lots of shade
  • Beach is great, lake offers lots of spots to fish from
  • General store at campground is a huge plus
  • Lots of police presence
  • Restrooms were extremely outdated
  • Lots of sites for camping, over 200 I think

Settled In:

  • Love the MTB trails and hiking trails
  • Dennis at General Store is great, very friendly, good selection
  • Several playgrounds geared towards young children
  • Splash pad only open on weekends during the summertime
  • Plenty of restaurants and shopping within 7-8 miles of campground
  • No laundry facilities on campground

Lasting Impressions:

  • Enjoyed our stay and will indeed return
  • Definitely don’t like the restrooms at campground
  • Site 97 is great, kind of private and a great tree for climbing
  • Make sure you pick a site that is level or at least bring plenty of leveling blocks
  • Lots to do without having to leave the campground (MTB, beach, fish, & hike)
  • If you bring bikes you may never have to start up your vehicle until you depart.

6 out of 8 thumbs up!
